RWBY OC BACKSTORY: Emerson

18 years ago, The Schnee Dust Company has been taking out the competition. One of the competition they face is The Eckstein Dust Company. Their rivalry began at the same year, the CEO's son, Emerson, was born.
Three years of having a regular family and their devoted love to Emerson with bedtime stories of heroes Emerson loves to hear, his father and mother came up to Emerson one night, when he was sleeping in his bed and woke him up with a yank and pulled him by the arm. They dragged little Emerson to an airship. Emerson asks his mom and dad what is going on, but none of them said anything. Hours later, in a snowy region in their kingdom, Emerson and his family walked into a huge campsite. They took him to a cabin, where an old man in his 50s awaits.
Emerson's parents gives Emerson to the old man, who introduces himself as Pirro Emerallt, his grandfather. Emerson couldn't care less. Emerson rushes to his parents, who heads back to the airship. Emerson's father harshly pushes Emerson down on the snow and ignores Emerson's cry. Emerson grabs his father's arm and his father slaps his own toddler's face and didn't bother looking Emerson tumble to the snow. Many camp dwellers watches when Emerson refuses to make any contact. Emerson pleas to his parents, "why?" His mother coldly said his birth was the cause of the company failing. His father coldly said when Emerson is old enough, he would understand. Pirro holds Emerson down as he tries to catch up with his departing family.
Since the trauma done to Emerson, he grew up as a juvenile. Emerson would be in mischievous games, playing with other delinquents. Emerson's favorite game is a mixture of baseball and snowball fights. When Emerson isn't with his trouble-making companions, Emerson would either pick fights with someone, especially on the marauders that always shakedown the camp, or going out hunting.
Emerson isn't aware his grandfather is the kind of retired Hunter that kills the Grimm. Only the hunter that hunts down animals for food. Emerson learns how to track them down and use his senses very well out in the wilderness. Emerson learns from Pirro on becoming a great tracker and hunter. Other times, Emerson helps his grandfather with errands, such as feeding domestic animals or cutting down trees for firewood. Emerson, however, would commonly neglect his chores and go off doing whatever he wants to have fun. As a punishment, Pirro took Emerson's favorite ax, Chaverro, the very ax used and handed down from the Emerallts family and use dust to increase the blade's strength, and left it high up on a tree, even Emerson couldn't climb.
At the age of 8, Emerson snuck a hatchet and a bow and arrow and went hunting. Emerson spotted a deer and hunts it down, unknowingly, going deep to Grimm territory. When he thought he cornered the rabbit and points his arrow, Emerson looks up and a Ursa slaps Emerson to the ground. With great fear, the black monstrous bear heads towards him. Emerson watches the rabbit flee, giving Emerson the right idea to do the same.
Emerson runs past the Ursa, but more and more Grimm picks up Emerson's scent and trail, more Ursa came and even Beowolves attacks Emerson. He ran and ran as he could, but Emerson slips on a frozen river and twisted his leg. Fortunately, tripping down, he survives from getting hit by a Beowolf. He crawls away, before getting up and limps out.
Emerson finally exits out the forest, but farther away from home. He finds himself in a open field with cliffs. The Grimm reveals themselves from the shadows and thumps of something big is coming his way. Emerson attempts to run away once more, but an Ursa charges at Emerson and slaps Emerson to a wall and breaking his leg.
Emerson cries in pain as he tries to crawl away when the Grimm causing the thumps reveals itself to be a small sole Goliath. Emerson heard rumors of the elephant Grimm being sighted for years, but never thought he would encounter it. Emerson squirms away, rolling his body on the snow to avoid the Goliath stepping on him. Emerson took a wrong roll and the Goliath steps and crushes his arm. It uses its trunk and pound the child's body on the ground, not even a full grown man could survive, and Emerson's body was tossed and skipped on the snow to the rest of the Grimm to finish him.
Emerson thought of the time he behaved badly and bargains for his life. He bargained to uphold his promise to be a better person if he survives this and as the Grimm attempts to finish him off, the locked aura within Emerson has finally been released and his aura automatically heals enough for him to get up and Emerson makes a last stand. His hair and eyes glows, his body feels warm, and in Emerson's vision, he sees everything moving slow. So too, his own body. Emerson whips out his stolen hatchet and each incoming Grimm, he pretends the Grimm as the snowballs and tries dodging and lands the hatchet on their heads. Emerson couldn't dodge every hit, but his body feels their attacks as a sting, before the next attacks feels nothing.
Emerson finishes off the last Grimm, before coming acoss the Goliath. Emerson's new found semblance begins to weaken, but Emerson charges head on to it. The Goliath swung its trunk at Emerson, pushing Emerson away, but Emerson keeps charging back at the beast, before his body wouldn't budge any longer and Emerson forcefully pushes the Goliath back against the cliff and pushes it down. Emerson watches it fall before his semblance wears off and every strikes from every Grimm returns to his body in a flash, his body drops and blacks out in the snow. His grandfather, Pirro, finds Emerson hours later, nearly buried in the snow and takes the child through the blizzard.
Emerson wakes up in his bedroom with casts on his arm and leg. Emerson finds a crutch by his door and overhears his grandfather talking to the camp's doctor. The doctor said that Emerson's arm and leg would never recover.
The next day, Emerson, keeping his promise, makes up most the chores he neglected throughout the years. Even with a broken arm and leg, he takes an ax and makes firewood and carries around logs. Since Emerson decides to keep his promise, he bargained once more that if his body does indeed recover, he will no longer be act as a victim. Six months later, after hard labor and pushing his body over the limit such as a one-push up, Emerson walks to the doctor and gives the doctor a thumbs-up with his once-broken arm.
Emerson stopped hanging out with the bad kids and chooses on helping the elders of the camp and acting as a caretaker among the children. Since pretending the Grimm as snowballs, he plays in snowball fights, tries dodging each incoming attacks.
When Emerson is out and finished hunting for food and wood or decides to sneak out, Emerson sets up his own gym, under Chaverro, still pierced on the tree. Emerson normally does his training in the snow, without a shirt. Emerson uses a woodsman ax to help him swing better and cut down trees. He uses a large boulder to move and/or uses it as a punching bag. The same for a couple of trees. With the chopped wood and log, he would tie them to his back and moves up to a hill. If successful of moving more and more heavier fallen trees, he would climb on the trees and hops on branches to the tie the used logs with rope on branches and duels them, and so on. Other times, he gets creative and combines them. From time to time, he practices his aura and semblance and improves it, to the point, Emerson would only use his semblance as a last resort.
After each training session, he would always come back feeling worn out and bruised. His personality starts to show more of a defensive pride and hardly have time to hang out with his new friends or elders. His grandfather, getting suspicious, followed Emerson resuming his training, trying to cut down a very large tree down.
Pirro confronts Emerson in the middle of a snowstorm. Emerson ignores his grandfather and keeps trying to cut down the tree and pushes his grandfather back each time Pirro tries to hold Emerson or his ax down. Pirro finally grips Emerson, who breaks out crying, questioning his grandfather will he forever be treated as a small child. Pirro reassures Emerson he is no longer the weak mischievous child, abandoned by many to face conflict alone. Pirro later made a deal for Emerson to continue pushing his body to become a Juggernaut, if he keeps the heart of gold everyone sees him and work his way to retrieve Chaverro back without brute force and equally use his instinct and mind than pride and muscle.
Emerson kept his promise and at the age of 15, Emerson could carry a tree to the hill with a breeze, chopped down a tree with his fists, dodged swinging logs to the point he can stop them with his arm, he even move the boulder in seconds and punch it down into pieces.
With muscle building, and the cold making his body numb to the point, his body became well adjusted, Emerson's body no longer feel most agonizing pain, but uses pain to acknowledge it, become a tool, to the point, it feels as a fist punching him, becomes a finger tapping his shoulder.
His body was not the only one to greatly increase, but his mind as well. His hunting skills improved so much, he mastered his surroundings, track down animals, know how to survive in the wilderness, and became illusive, unstoppable, and even behaves as a naive child at most times.
While he comes to a halt, he still trains his body, but secretly among everyone. He is well known among everyone as the camp's clown. His immature attitude makes him happy and brefriends every children in the camp. Crystal, a little girl, who is shy around people, would always run up to Emerson when Emerson comes back to camp from hunting and Emerson would toss her up, spin her, and let her rest on his shoulders. He mingles with the kids, act as their scout leader, even tells stories of him slaying the Grimm with his trusty axe.
At the age of 17, the resources in the camp is thinning with more and more demands from the marauders, the marauders resorted into taking the women and children, forcing the men to get them the necessary resources or the captives will be sold as slaves and servants. The men in the camp were no fighters and reluctantly agrees, leaving Emerson the only one to get them back and be rid of the marauders once and for all. Emerson tracked them down with his hunting skills and when Emerson demanded the marauders to let the women and children go, the marauders attacks Emerson. Emerson easily takes down each one with his face sparking in fury. His semblance sparked for a second, as more and more marauders tries to subdue Emerson.
After most of them were defeated, the marauders' leader has unleashed caged up Beowolves at Emerson, but even they couldn't stop Emerson. While Emerson only killed the Beowolves, he let the marauders go, bargaining their lives and never return. The marauders kept their promise and Emerson returns home with the women and children. Crystal even starts to develop a big crush on Emerson.
Next year, at the age of 18, the camp received a warning that a wave of Grimm are heading towards the camp and the dwellers should evacuate immediately. While Pirro handles the evacuation, Emerson decides to defend his home and people. As the Grimm reveals themselves, Emerson jokingly asks them to turn back, but when the Beowolves attacks, Emerson uses Chaverro and the dust from the hollow grips seeps out of the blade, wipes every trace of the Grimm. By the time the Huntsmen that warned the camp arrived, Emerson greets them on top of a rock.
That night, while everyone celebrates, a stranger came to visit Emerson and wants him to enroll Beacon and become a hunter. Emerson declines the offer, wanting to watch over the camp, the stranger convinces Emerson with the info of his parents. Pirro agrees on the idea of becoming a huntsman, wanting Emerson to have a new life outside the camp. He inspired everyone enough to look out for their own. Emerson became convinced and decides to leave his camp and start a new journey. Eventually, he enters to the City of Vale and already found excitement.
